I received Your Shape from "House Party" and will be hosting a Your Shape and Jello party this coming week and I am so excited that I will sure start off this new year with a healthy lifestyle. I tried it out for the first time today and WOW! It isn't just a fun way to exercise, but it's an awesome workout. I recommend anyone who has a wii to get this, because weather your in shape or not you will benefit from Your Shape. With this game you have to get off the couch and get moving.... No ifs, ands, or butts!
My overall grade was a C+! I'd like to get it up to a B+ before summer. So I have a ways to go. Wish me luck! If anyone else is trying out the Your Shape game let me know.... maybe we can blog about our experience together!

I've been pretty good. I've been writing down what I've been eating and I've been doing mini-workouts when I'm sitting and exercising in the morning. My legs have been hurting a bit. But proud of my progress.

All I have to aim for this holiday season is to not eat too many sweets. Hubby has been getting in the mood for sweets, usually cookies, and he'll drive all the way into town (only like 8 minutes) to get a pack of cookies! But he always drinks a glass of milk with that, so not too bad, right?

Yup, I said "yello." I am a hispanic. Anyways... the exercising not going so well, but i've been getting in some good numbers walking. I got a new pedometer and I'm almost averaging 10k a day! Hubby has let us stop at wal-mart for a few strolls around the store... Today we went to the mall and at the end of the day I got the closest I ever had to 10k steps!
I'm hoping that I can reach 10k in the next few weeks.
I've set a small goal for myself to lose 5lbs by next week! Ahhh, not sure if I can do that, but I've been cooking for myself at home. I'm thinking if I can just get some sit-ups a bit more of exercises this week I might make it.

Well, I haven't lost any weight! I need to get off my @ss... Everymorning when I wake up I do my routine, write my blog, check my email and other stuff on the laptop. It's even hard for me to have breakfast now... sometimes I don't eat until 4 hours after I've woken up, or longer! HELP!

I was going to sign up with ediets again. When I signed up before I lost 20lbs, why? Because I love a challenge! I decided not to because their prices have gone up. Then I went to an old website I use to use caloriesperhour.com but they have joined up with LiveStrong, the lance armstrong thingy, so I figured I can just chart stuff myself for a while and see how that goes. Maybe I can save some money to pay for it later in the year or next year.

Two days ago I got sore legs! I think I had done too much walking. Wait?! Too much walking is good. But did you see the season premier of The Biggest Loser? Can you believe 1 mile sent her to the hospital? Crazy. I'm getting off my ass! I was going to go walking this morning, but there's a cold front outside, cold & rainy. I am not really a mud person, so no walking today.

So ever since that breakdown, that day I went walking at the flea market, plus got some great deals.... and then went to the store that day I got in over 6k steps! The next day was pretty busy as well I got in almost 5k... I was going to go walking to some garage sales, but I have to go to work from 11 - 2pm Blah! but I will be sweating I know that...
I had breakfast today, sticking to my menu plan pretty good this week. I plan on going walking later tonight with the dog, lets see how that goes.

AHh! I don't know how to keep this up. Every morning I wake up tired and I make myself eat breakfast, then I sit and check my email, enter contests and write some blog or do other work. Then I do some housework and then..... nothing. I usually fall asleep because I'm tired, but I can't seem to get myself to do some exercises or go for a walk. It's 9am... I'm going to put on my tennies and go to the local flea market to do some walking, maybe i'll find some good deals!

I so need to get off my @ss! I'm tired of seeing this baby bulge! I see new mamas with newborn babies and got a kick @ss body! How is that possible? Do they have immediate surgery or use an old fashion corset to keep everything in place? I used my PP wrap for like a month and it kinda stretched out too much, lol.
Yesterday and today went a bit well. We went to the Texas Street Festival and today we went to walk around at Home Depot. I forgot my pedometer though, but I'm sure both days was over 5k steps.
Now time to get the Menu for this week done.

Another week gone by, Thank Gosh! Monday, first day of school. Tuesday, laundry day. Wednesday, Meet the Teacher. Thursday, finish school shopping. Friday, First TGIF! Saturday, housewarming party. Sunday, sleep day! I planned the first three days yesterday and then today hubby took me out to Whataburger and we finished our weekly meals. I'm thinking of doing 2 weeks in advance. And guess what?! Bllaahh, I forgot what I was going to say. Oh yeah, I remember now. I haven't gone grocery shopping in over a week! How crazy is that. I haven't done my grocery list, but I don't think I have to buy that much. I have my pantry full.... just need main dishes. Here's my menu plan:

So, this weekend was super busy. Family, kids and dog! I skipped another few days of wearing my pedometer... but I did do lots of walking, not as much as I wanted though.
Today I walked 2,829 steps.
I plugged in my DDR today, so tomorrow morning hubby's going to run errands, so I can do some in the morning. I also have laundry to do as well, so that should get more steps in.

Yeah me... yesterday I got in 3,412 and this morning, after dropping off DD at school i went to the Flea market and got in 3,562 steps! I am so excited... my feet hurt and i'm sweaty, but excited. I hope I can keep it up. I'm going to get off my @ss now and do laundry n dishes... ahhh

I didn't forget my pedometer.... Sunday I walked 5,683 steps and Monday I walked 3,528 steps. Significantly less, but way better than last week. Today I'm striving for a medium of 4k. Wish me luck!

OMG!!! I haven't menu planned in a while. I've been so busy trying to get my DD ready for school.... we also went to corpus for a whole week and then I got sick! Ahh, before I knew it I was up at 7am to take my DD to school! So, tonight I went to the kitchen and jotted down all my items and estimated how many servings I could get from what was there. I then sat on my cough, watching "You've Got Mail" and see what menus I could plan with what I had. I can't go grocery shopping until September 1st. Boy is that going to be hard! So here is the menu for this week:
ps. I'm doing breakfast, lunch & dinner. With a 5 year old in school and a baby, being organized is a huge help!

Today I woke up early to take my mom to work and I was suppose to take a shower and go do some contract work, but I feel back to sleep. Anyways after I did what I had to do hubby wanted to go over to Harlingen to eat BBQ @ Smokey Joe's. We ended up going to the mall after wards to do some walking and price shopping (for tax free weekend) and I FORGOT MY PEDOMETER! Darn-it! So I'm averaging I walked more than yesterday. After that we went to do some returns at bealls and did some more walking. I plan on doing some more walking tomorrow when I plan on finishing my back-to-school shopping.

Here is my first post to orgjunckie's Menu Plan Monday's. Even though I've been menu planning since the beginning of the year, I decided to follow orgjunkie to get further inspired and ideas for our family. My goal, obviously, is to eat healthy to lose weight. If your from orgjunkie, I just had a baby in March and I'm two pounds away from 30lbs weight loss! I have a 4 year old who will almost eat anything.... we taught her early to eat all the food on her plate. She loves to cook with me and isn't afraid of veggies, thank God! Oh, I also use MealsMatter.com to stay organized with my menu planning and plan around coupons most of the time. Just finished stocking for the summer. So hopefully I won't have to waste much gas going to the grocery store.
SO here I go:
Monday: Chicken Stir-fry and brown rice
Tuesday: Won-ton soup n egg rolls
Wednesday: Chicken lasanga with salad
Thursday: Spaghetti n meatballs with salad
Friday: Tomato spinach pizza with corn bean salad
Saturday: Leftover Day
Sunday: Sandwhich Day (turkey, ham, tuna or egg)
ps. Saturday and sometimes Friday are leftovers day and Sunday is usually Sandwhich day, where I'm tired, I like to rest and you make your own sandwhich. Always stocked up on mayo or miracle whip, eggs and ham.

I finally did one whole workout! Yesterday.... was yvette's last day of school, I woke up to wish her a good day, and took her picture! And then I stayed up to do some housework, made breakfast and then did my warm up and then some strength training with weights. This morning I'm sore! I hope to keep it up! I've been losing weight, but not because of exercise, but because of so much housework I've been doing. Going to do the meal plan for next week.... I'll post later.

After eating like a pig. I've been doing pretty good. Today I made beef tacos and I got myself a bowl, put tons of lettuce, tomato and some cheese and very little meat and a tad of ranch dressing. I've been doing the Women's Health Mag Belly Off workouts. I've only been doing the warm-ups... but hey, got to start somewhere, right?
Hopefully I'll start doing the actual work-outs now.

I gained a couple lbs this weekend. We went to Corpus to visit family for three days. Of those three days I didn't do much exercise but I did sweat! It was soooo hot. I did have breakfast lunch and dinner, but at least one was not as good as it could have been. I had at least a salad a day. And a fruit snack.Since I've been back home, two days now; i've also had a salad for lunch. This week the whole family is home because they closed the school till next week. 5 suspected cases.

Well, this morning I went for a 10 minute walk. Yes, I know, just 10 minutes. But I didn't wake up when I wanted to. I had to be back in 15 to feed the baby. Anywho... I also got in my first YOGA SESSION! The dog ate half my yoga mat, so I only did it on a towel! And we have hardfloors, so it wasn't so nice on my back. So, hopefully today I'll have time to go buy a mat. I'm also planning to go walking later today.
I've also been having breakfast a couple days a week. And during the day I'm not doing so bad either. Had pizza the other day, but I also had and finished a salad, with little dressing. This morning I just had a sandwhich and water, I'm trying to do better.
Off to wash dishes....

Well, last night wasn't really a good night. I didn't go to bed until 3am! So, it's now 9am and I just woke up. I am still going to go walking like I said I was! I'm going to go change my DD's diaper, have a cup of oatmeal and then take the dog a bath and go walking. I also thought I had nothing to do, but I have two errands where I can get some more walking in.

Well, I guess my diet isn't enough now. I gained 2 lbs! I freaked out this morning when I weight myself. I couldn't believe it. So this morning I did dishes while doing some leg lifts. I think i did like 50! I lost count after 30. Then I had a job to do and I did about 15 min. of walking for that. We went to eat at a pizza place and I had one slice of veggie pizza plus a whole salad with lite salad dressing and tea with Splenda.
And tomorrow should be even better because we have nothing planned so I can have more control of what I eat and I'm going to do my first exercising tomorrow.
I plan on starting with a good breakfast and then I'm going to take the dog a bath and take her for walk! Not sure if I should take the baby. If she falls asleep after her early morning feeding then I'll leave her. Where we live there aren't any sidewalke so the road may be bumpy for her in her stroller. The dog, Dezi, will be happy to get out of the house. She's been stuck in the backyard for about 3 months now. Poor puppy!

Another sucessful day!
I had breakfast today and last night I went walking to support Relay 4 Life! I only walked like 10 minutes. It wasn't much, but it's something. When I got home my incision was itching like crazy, so I dried and cleaned it. I hate that I can't do more walking. Then before bed I washed bottles while I did squats! Yeah me! I did go to sleep a bit late because the baby had trouble going to sleep, so I had to rock her to sleep. Then when I was falling asleep I could feel my abs. That is crazy. I was wide awake at 7am, feed the baby, took a nap, feed the baby again. Then i did some sweeping and did some work for a while and now I'm about to wake up the family. My mom took my 4 year old to eat breakfast and they're still not back! I'm going to ask hubby to go to the garage and look for my 2lb weights. I'm getting hungry, so BYE!

I HAD BREAKFAST TODAY!!
Thanks to my sister that is. She came to visit for her birthday. She brought breakfast tacos. I had one and a glass of milk. Yum! I had a bit more energy than I usually do. I stayed up after the baby woke up at 7am. After feeding her I washed dishes and put some clothes away. I didn't go walking today though. For lunch I had some nuggets and veggies and dinner hubby wanted to go out to his favorite burger place, Red Robin. I had a grilled chicken burger. Hubby ordered an appetizer and it was really hard to resist, I had a few. He ordered Chili Chili Nachos. They were good. I took off some cheese and added extra lettuce. It's really late, so I'm off to bed.
Oh, one more thing... i got a new haircut. It will work out great once I start working out full force. Here's a pic. Wish me luck tomorrow.

Yesterday went pretty good.... I didn't over eat and only drank water. We went to the outlet mall and I did about 15 minutes of walking.
It's 7AM and I'm still sleepy. I got to wake up my 4yo and then I plan on making breakfast for myself, maybe some oatmeal and a piece of fruit.

Today is the first day of my weight loss after having my beautiful baby:
It's been a couple days over a month since our bundle of joy was born. My recovery has been slow, so I still have to take it easy. But it's kinda hard when your husband sleeps until 12 noon. But I'm okay with that because he doesn't go to sleep until 3 or 4 AM. I go to sleep around 10 AM to wake up between 5 and 6 AM. It's hard, but I love waking up and everyone else is still asleep and it's just me and my baby.
Anywho, the 20 lbs I lost before the baby I did it via ediets and being apart of a group on CafeMom, which I loved. I've joined them again to lost the last 10 lbs plus any other extra fat that wants to come off.
I haven't been eating good breakfast which isn't good. But I have to get on the ball. Latley I don't eat until 10am, 5 hours after I've already woken up. So, for the first month, till about the end of May to get use to eating Breakfast.
